Rob Wright

Rob Wright is entering his 23rd coaching season and his 3rd as head coach of the Ramay Red Wolves. In his time, Wright has led football teams to 9 Conference Championships and Runner-ups. Under Wright, the Red Wolves finished with a 6-4 record in their first year and a week 1 victory over Woodland for the first time in almost a decade.  

On May 1, 2022 Ramay Junior High named Wright the head football coach.

Wright runs a high-octane spread offense. Fans are always in store for exotic offensive formations and lockdown defensive exhibitions.  

Wright came to Ramay after 21 years at Springdale-Southwest and 1 year at Fort Smith-Kimmons where he partnered with coaches Gus Malzahn, Kevin Johnson, Chris Wood, Bruce Matthews and Jarrell Williams.  Wright has also coached Boys/Girls Basketball, Track and softball in NWA.

Coach Wright earned 2 undergraduate degrees from Ouachita Baptist University and Arkansas Tech University.  He has also done graduate work at Henderson State University towards his MBA and has most recently earned his Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Rob Wright’s hometown is Glenwood, AR (Glenwood High class of ‘87).  He has 2 sons, Roman Wright - 28 (Associate Head Track Coach, Southern Wesleyan University, Clemson, SC) and Dalton Wright - 23 (Nurse BSN, AdventHealth Hospital, Tampa, FL).  Rob is married to Dana Wright, CTE teacher at Central Junior High in Springdale.  With Dana, Rob also has 2 bonus sons; Britton Lashley - 27 and Camden Lashley - 23.  In his free time, Rob enjoys hunting, cooking, hiking, kayaking and helping build youth sport programs in NWA to develop productive young adults ready to become outstanding citizens in our community.
